All Hallow's Eve - an eerie night,
Unique of sound, unique of sight.
Hear stories that the wise do tell,
Of vampire's curse and witch's spell.
Of winds that hurl the clouds through skies,
And spirits sounding ghoulish cries
As they're released from crypt and tomb,
For one night to escape their doom,
And on mere mortals tricks to play,
Til frolic ends at break of day.
Of headless horsemen, dancing bones,
Of rusty doors and cackling crones.
Of pumpkins orange with eyes a-glow,
That watch black cats in mute shadow.
Oh! Seldom heard and seldom seen,
The sights and sounds of Hallowe'en.
