Four little witch's flying thru the dark,

One yelled out: Where do I park? (In the Broom Closet silly!!)

A huge glowing fire with a big yellow spark,

Beside a large, scary dog with the loudest bark!

Gathered altogether on a dark, scary, night,

Four little witch's carving pumpkins bright,

With all their little creatures who scurry in the night,

Bats and rats keeping well out of sight!

Ghost and Goblins with spiders in their webs,

Toil and trouble, skeletons with heads,

A thick black shadow passing me by,

It just must be a trick of my eye!

Big black cats running in the night,

Jack-O-Lanterns glowing very bright,

Falling leaves blowing in the wind,

A mist and a chill right up to your chin,

You must go back to where you've been told,

Carrying your heavy chocolate pot of gold!

Four little witch's with glowing pumpkins bright,

Wishing you all a shivery Halloween night!

Just a little poem to get you in the mood!! The Woodland Treasure Seekers Wish gals gathered together to create our pumpkin delights for Wish 5. After selecting our favourite size and colour of pumpkins, we gathered our selection of tools and cutters to start carving out masterpieces!

First, we reviewed our gathered collection of pumpkin stencils, determining the best selection for the size and shape for each of our gourds.

While enjoying some sweet treats and some lively conversation we each described our past childhood Halloween festivities and pumpkin carving exploits. Thru seeds and pumpkin mush we discovered that a lot of the actual carving of past pumpkins, when our children were small, was left up to the fathers of each family to do with the kids. One of our gals, at age 74, just had her first experience carving a pumpkin during this challenge, and she did a fab job, and in record time!

Some time later, with our pumpkins completed and carved, our hands and pumpkin mush cleaned up, we moved onto the fashion show!!

From a couple of tote bins containing everything from rabbit ears and headbands, to Toy Story “Jessie” clothes to ghouls, devil ears and ghosts, and onto crazy wigs, capes and witch hats, we came up with the witch's theme and our very own pumpkin head!!

After many, many, laughs and rotating wardrobe changes, we each secured our chosen costumes, and decided to go outside in the beautiful fall weather to display our carved pumpkins. Our pumpkins are lit (hard to see in the photo) and we gathered our four witch's together for the group photo.

All in all, our Wish witch's enjoyed this team challenge meeting very much!

Four little witch's carving pumpkins bright,

Gathered altogether on a dark, scary, night,

Their black cats are hiding, it's time to say “Goodnight”.

Happy Halloween from the Woodland Treasure Seekers Witches!!
