- Description
- One of our members still owns a farm near the Niagara Escarpment and volunteered to pick rocks for all of us. these were distributed and we started putting our dreams into our projects. For Years I have volunteered at the local fair to help hang and display prize winning quilts. I dreamed of sometime making a really beautiful quilt. Since I retired I have become an amateur quilter trying to develop skills towards the dream. I am giving this rock to my granddaughter featuring one of the quilt patterns I used, maybe someday she will follow in grandma's footsteps. My rock is my dream to go back to warm tropical island. While sitting on this island I hope to dream in the world getting some what normal with more love and world peace. I will be giving my rock to my husband who has been my rock for 46 years. I chose to give the painted rock to my granddaughter. She is in high school and trying to decide on career choices. The message Dream Big is to remind her to aim high and not limit herself. Hope it inspires her every time she sees it. My biggest dream today is that our world would get back to what it was before Covid normal I also hope the Ukraine war would soon end and all of us find peace. We need to pull together to ride out climate change.
