I would like to thank the Area Conveners for sending in their reports so that © I might have a full quota of reporting. The reports were most encouraging, since there was a marked increase in the interest shown in Resolutions. . â€" The Bratches are devoting a meeting and considérable study to Resolution®s Roll Calls â€" suggestions for a Resolution ‘ . . What laws would you change to better the lives of Canadians? A Resolution to pass at Area Convention. : What I resolve to do to increase Membership, f L ' A New Year‘s Resolution, Mottoss â€" Standing at the Gate of the New Year. ' Don‘t Wait for Spring = Do It Now. ; ~ As the Resolution Is, So Will Our Progress Be. Papers and Discussions seemed to be popular in all reports â€" Discussions on the Hand | , Book = How to draft a Resolution â€" Discussions on Resolutions pertinent to their own Community. Many requests were received for the Panel Discussion I had prepared. Resolutions were sent to loéal authorities concerning local problems,. Action had been taken on some, as a result. Some very timely suggestions were included in these reports. © A few are: 1. Devote one mseting a year to the Study of Resolutions. 2, Even though your Branch does not formulate a Resolution, do send in a report. ' 3, For the benefit for all Conveners, the delegates to Area . Convention, report at Branch and District level, the names and addresses of Area Conveners. Also that the Branch Secretary report the names and addresses of Branch Conveners to the District . Secretary who will see that these addresses and names are given to District Conveners. ~ 4. Study the New Hand Book thoroughly and carefully. Resolutions are an important part of our Woments Institute work and can accomplish . a great deal if we persist in our efforts,. If at first, we don‘t succeed, try, try ° again, . 70 I have enjoyed my term as your Provincial Con¥éner and appreciate your co~operation,. _ I firmly believe that there has been a noticeable increase in interest in this > Standing Committee in the past few years and would urge you to try and continue and add to this interest in the future. . +/
