gRglatnrte It was a beautiful day, perfect for the Victorian Tea held on the lawn of DorothyThomson's home. This special event on June 1, 1997 was to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of WI. Many ladies wore period costumes. There were interesting displays to View, spoons, Victorian card collection, fancy plates, cats collection, tea figurines, dolls and cribs, twig and willow furniture. A W.I. display board, Tweedsmuir History and scrap books were in the house for all to see. An old-fashioned lunch was enjoyed, tea and coffee served in china cups, and cool lemonade in tall glasses. Rosella Clancy, Provincial Tweedsmuir Curator and Jean Clancy, District President were among the guests.
