Ten WI members gathered last Thursday at the home of Colleen Knowles. Colleen ‘ had the house nicely decorated for Valentines. Beuy Weir and Connie Adams I were the only ones who made their own , valentine c'ards to. g've away. The others brought cookies or chocolates. They drew j names and then just did an exchange so no 1 one knew beforehand who was their valen-j tine. Gay helped his mom by finding the glue for the glue gun but I am not sure whether he made any valentines for himself to give away. Maybe he might have a few 1 secret valentines but he is not saying, as then i it would no longer be ‘a secret! Leila gave her 1 report on Gateway Haven and Betty did her report for the hospital auxiliary. Susan shared the history of Valentines and a poem ‘ that Roger wrote. The rest of the time it was ‘ a social that is so needed during this time of year. We were told at church that this is the time of year to recharge our batteries, not by taking off and going south, but to take time to be still and be fascinated by the creation of l snowflakes. Be social and doing nothing but share with one another and so this is exactly what was covered for the rest of the meeting.
