Highlights from the FWIO Annual Meeting he Executive and Board of Directors of the Federated Women‘s Institutes of Ontario (FWIO) met for their annual meeting from November 25-28, 1992, in Guelph. In her report to the Board, President Marg Eberle remarked: “As we start into a new year of work in the FWIO,... we all have abig job ahead of us as we accept the big changes, challenges and opportunities in the coming year." The re- tiring Convener, Joan Law, reported that legislation for the Living Will is expected to go into a third reading this fall and changes to the Young Offenders Act have taken place to transfer a case from youth to adult court and to provide more appropri- ate choices in sentences. Royal Winter Fair As Co-ordinator of the WI activities at the RAWF, Peggy Knapp reported on the success of the second Women’s Day at the Royal. Guest speaker, Katherine Biondi, Director of Centralia College of Agricul- tural Technology, spoke on “Women in Executive Roles.†A fashion show co-or- dinated by Eve Martin. with models from Halton WI, demonstrated what to wear as women take their places as leaders in their own communities Centennial i’ltilel matte“ Ii ‘u in The winner of the centennial plate com- petition.
