It was constructed around 1860 by James Lee Jr., son of James and Hannah Lee, United Empire Loyalists who arrived in Stoney Creek in 1792. Made with virgin pine, this cupboard stands roughly seven feet tall. The original eight- een sheets of pan-poured glass have survived intact in the top cupboard ducts, as have the original door locks, hinges and porcelain knobs. To this day, this pioneer cupboard stands in its original place.
