Eastern Area Member Receives Caring Canadian Award Blacksth WI links Up with Literacy The Ramsayville WI is proud of Branch member Madeline Adams. She was the recipient of the Governor General's Caring Canadian Award in 1358. She began herlifetr‘me of caring by tending to the needs of her ill brothers, while raising her three children. After her children left home, Madeline and her hus- band welcomed Native and Inuit students into their home in order that they continue their education in Ottawa schools. She volunteers for her church, community, senior citizen's organizations, the Central Canada Exhibition Association and herlnstitute. Everyone who knows Madeline can attest to the fact that she is a person of unlimited energy, a good friend and a willing worker. Madeline was invited to the Governor General‘s residence and presented with a framed Caring Canadian Plaque and a pin, which she proudly wears. Submitted oy Linda Wyman.
