Irene Weirich, Past President of the New York State Home Bureau, and her Canadian counterpart Faye Mayberry, President of the Federated Women‘ s Institutes of Canada (FWIC), received the unveiled plaque presented by Hilda Stewart, on behalf of the rural women of this contintent. They spoke of peace and sisterhood and the fundamental role of women in the home, their communities and in their respective countries, and the way ACWW had allowed women to work together to make a difference around the world.
