A draw was held lor an Easter Basket of goodies and Meals In Minutes Workshop recipes were given out. Dromore WI, Grey South The Dromore Women's Institute of Grey South were happy to replace their tattered paper banner they had been using with a small embroi- dered one, which included the WI logo and their Branch name. laura Rose WI, Waterloo The Laura Rose WI Quilt Show was just one at many similar shows throughout the Region ol Waterloo at the end of May. Among the juried shows. museum exhibits and quilt auctions. the Laura Fiose Quilt Show displayed a high degree of excellence. More than a dozen members gather each spring and fall to help clean up. As well, they still maintain a tlowerbed established in 1938. Stewartville WI sought an» other solution to keeping their Branch together. They were not content to give up their Branch and their years of history in the community. So they decided to approach AmpriorWl to consider amalgamation. Arnprior WI welcomed the Stewartville members with open arms. Instead of reporting a disbandment in Ftentrew South. the District was able to congratulate members of Arnprior-Stewartville wt for rejuvenating a Branch. Rarklyn WI, Grey North Each year this group makes a Christmas craft at their November meeting. Last year they made painted plastic pop bottles into snowmen, with scraps oi material as a scarf, 3 small sock as a hat and details added for the facial features. What an easy and fun craft to make with your children or grandchildren! Plantagenet WI, Prescott All members of this Branch were busy creating applique‘d blacks in! a guilt to be rattled with the proceeds to go to Focus High tor WI.
