v Wellington South Distlit’t Wt In celebration of Wellington South District's 100th anniversary last May. nearly 100 members and guests sat down to a roast beef dinner at the Puslinch Community Centre. FWlO President Dianne Orr was in attendance along with the Mayor of Pusiinch. All Past Presidents. Secretaries and Treasurers were recognized with a flower, which made three beautiful bouquets. Each of the eight Branches in the District set up a display depicting their past accomplishments. A spruce tree was planted at the Pusiinch Community Garden, with a stone plaque which reads Wellington South Women's institute. 1902-2002. About 100 people gathered at the Selkirk Community Hall for an afternoon Anniversary Tea. Greetings and certificates were received from all levels of government. F MD President Dianne Orr presented 100 Year Pins and extended congratulations, as did the Area and District Presidents in attendance. The Hall was decorated with displays, Wl projects and crafts completed during past years and numerous quilts. A potluck supper was enjoyed followed by a program of skits presented by Branch members depicting five 20-year periods in the history of the District.
