Provincial ROSE Partners Recognized for Contribution to ROSE Program At the ‘ROSES are Blooming’ Forum, FWIO presented eight “Partners in the Future Wellâ€"Being of Rural Communities" awards to the ROSE Program Provincial Partners. FWIO honours the ROSE Partners and Women's Institute members whose efforts have assisted in creating a unified exchange of information under the auspices of the ROSE (rural ontario shan'ng education) Program. Awards were presented to the: Alzheimer Society ofOntario, Canadian Diabetes Association, Safe Kids Canada, The Arthritis Society, Ontario Breast Screening Program, National Eating, Disorder Information Centre, Canada's Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies, Ontario Cervical Screening Program, Canadian Partnership for Food Safety Education, St, John Ambulance, Ontario Community Support Association, National Ovarian Cancer Association, Canadian Mental Health Association. Ontario. and the Osteoporosis Society of Canada. Navan WI wins ROSE Session Profile Draw The winner of the first ROSE Session Profile Draw was announced at the ‘ROSES are Blooming Forum" in Barrie, The winner of this award was Navan WI for a session that they held on Osteoporosis. The second ROSE Session Profile Draw is now on! Beginning September ist, 2004 until June lst, 2005 each ROSE Program Session Profile Form received by the FWIO Provincial Office will be given a ballot to be put into a draw for a prize basket.
