Alvern remembers feeling welcome and comfortable with the group, She loved the fact that the group was very active and involved in the community and always willing to help those in need. What Alvern loves most about being a WI Member is the fellowship with the ladies. Her community-minded Branch is busy with quilting, donating money to worthwhile community projects and Remembrance Day services at the cemetery, In her spar. time, Alvern volunteers at the senior citizens home in Little Current. Although Alvern moved to Little Current in 1975 she continues to drive the 40 kms to attend the meeting in Big Lake â€" rarely missing a meeting! The Big Lake WI says “we all love Alvern and admire her feisty spirit, she keeps Us all enthused and active". Board Bytes We are happy to welcome our recently elected Provincial Board Directors. Congratulations on your appointment and good luck! Dorothy Beedham Winnie Trachsel Ilene Chesterman Eleanor Wiersma In times of change it is the learners who inherit the future.
