The Government of Ontario‘s Seniors Secretariat is launching its Age Friendly Communities consultation process this Fall. The FWIO is encouraged to send representatives to these meetings, orto volunteerfor the Local Working Groups which will be responsible for an important role for the Local Working Groups. Some time commitment is needed to participate in the Local Working Groups. However, FWIO involvement could be through an FWIO "team" to share participation responsibilities. Broad-based community consultations will take place beginning in October. The proposed locations include Kenora, Sault Ste. Marie, Ottawa, Barrie, Windsor, Toronto and Hamilton. However, these locations will draw in broader communities as well and your participation is encouraged.
