At the PumpkinFest Parade the ladies took the prize for the best group on a float and donated a basket to the raffle draw. Past President. lris Walker, painted a watercolour map of the town and as a fundraiser the Branch has been selling prints of it. The Branch also installed a park bench in the local harbour and hosted a garden party at the lakeside park to help celebrate the Branch’s accomplishments. You might think these busy ladies Wouldn’t have time for anything else, but they have also sent knitted teddy bears and dishcloths for the Canada Comforts project. Jackson WI Like all Institutes, the Jackson Wl (Bruce County District) represents Home and Country and can be found behind the scenes “giving back to their community". Since 2001, the Jackson Wl has worked diligently at the French Fry booth at the Heritage Farm south of Paisley. Every August these ladies can be found, rain or shine, cutting, cooking and serving delicious home made French fries. It is a growing business, and they welcome the assistance of their community to help them with this venture. Once again, these ladies turn back their profits to many area organizations in their community. Drop by and see them, they‘d love to meet you!
