Lorne Sutherland W.I. of Carleton West marked its 65th anniversary and Rosemont W.I. of Dufferin North held 40th anniversary celebrations. Stewartville Branch. South Renfrew District celebrated its 35th anniverâ€" sary last year. Life Memberships Mrs. G. James and Mrs. D. Miller of Lorne Sutherland Branch were honored with life memberships recently. Mrs. Isobel Martin of Chapman W.l., Hastings East, received her life members after 60 years of service to the branch. Mrs. Martin was the first to receive life membership in Chapman Branch. In October, Dunn W.l., East Haldi- mand, honored seven members with life memberships. They were: Ruth Newman, Virgie Ramsey. Emma Webber, Mabel Cowell. Isabel Lyons, Stella King and Elsie King. Cooking contest to mark centennial To celebrate the centennial of Canada's National Parks, a Heritage Cooking Contest is being sponsored by Parks Canada and Blue Mountain Pottery Ltd. of Collingwood. The contest is being held through local agricultural fair boards with prizes available from Blue Mountain.
