PRO PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICERS Mrs. John Brown Mrs. Brown attended executive meetings of the Milton WI Hall committee and Officers‘ Conference. She assisted at the Erland Lee Home for Christmas at the Lee and Simcoe Day. Press releases were mailed to papers across the Province following the annual meeting and for special occasions, as well as write-ups for Home and Country. Attendance at anniversaries, special funcâ€" tions of the W] at all levels are always pleasant events. The PRO sent copies of her reports. press releases and any pertinent information to the Area PRO‘s as well as replies to all requests for program ideas and promotion of the WI. She expressed thanks to Miss McGhee and her staff for their excellent courses presented by the Home Economists. SECRETARY'S REPORT Mrs. Jeanette Van Sickle The Secretary has completed all the correspondence and instructions following the annual meeting with the necessary communication going out to the Board Direc- tors. Correspondence has been sent out in preparation for the election at Area Conventions of 15 Board Directors as well as instructions relating to the election of the new Provincial President in November 1980. The Secretary has attended and dealt with the business and communication for the Constitution, Finance and WI Hall Committee meetings. Correspondence continues to be carried out on a daily basis. SCHOLARSHIP REPORT Mrs. Stewart Anderson It was announced there will be 20 Macdonald awards of $200.00 each this year for students entering their first semester to the College of Family and Consumer Studies, University of Guelph. The County, District and Area Scholarship winners and alternates were ratified by the Provincial Board, names to be released by the local Scholarship Committees. OFFICERS’ CONFERENCE Mrs. Russell Campbell The secretary, Mrs. Campbell reported all details have been completed and everything is in readiness for the Conference April 29-May 1.
