In honor of IYC. a laryngoscope, used to examine the larynx. especially needed for children, was donated to Kincardine and District Hospital. A plaque will later be hung in Ripley Medical Centre. PRESERVE HISTORY The BECKWITI-I W.I. of Lanark North Di- preserve vital history with the dedication of “The ' Kirk” Cairn near Carleton Place. Approximately 150 people gathered for the dedic ceremony of a cairn erected to commemorate pioneer congregations and ministers of “The ‘ Kirk” built on the 7th line, Beckwith, in 1832. The cairn has been built of stones from the rut the church. by a scottish stonemason who learno trade in Aberdeen, Scotland, the city where the minister attended college. It is located on the prt‘. now owned by Wilfred F. Prachter, who drew 99ayear lease with the Township of Beckwith to pi the site.
