Therefore, it was decided to make the change. Naturally, the high quality of writing will be maintained. NIAGARA ESCARPMENT COMMISSION Mrs. Earl Morden The Interest Group Advisory Committee spent many hours reviewing briefs both written and verbal, since the preliminary proposals were released to the public and municipalities last January. As a result of the input received, a new approach to the proposed plan as outlined by the Planning Board of the Niagara Escarpment Commission is being studied. This plan, in its preliminary stage of development iden. tifies four priority areas based on the importance of the areas in achieving the objectives of the Act. The next few weeks will be busy with meetings, as the planners hope to have the proposed plan drafted at the end of May. There is to be a four month review period for municipalitiesand the public to study the Commission’s proposals. Hearing officers will then hold a series of extensive public hearings on the proposed plan.
