Mrs. Zoeller. Mrs. Armstrong. Mrs. Weber, Mrs. Hooston. Mrs. Pardy and to Mrs. Miller who has not only been an efficient secretary but many times my chauffeur; and to all for your wonderful cooperation in my first year as President. There has been so much to learn but with stalwart support the tasks are made much easier. THE SECRETARY‘S REPORT Mrs. William G. Miller The Secretary reported the completion of all business and correspondence as directed at the semi-annual meeting held at the University of Guelph April 24-28. 1972: letters of thanks sent to all who assisted at this meeting and copies of Minutes sent to the Board Directors and others, Attendance by the Secretary was reported at all F.W.l.0, committee meetings with the completion of resulting correspondence and business: several District Annual meetings; area conventions. country rallies. 75th anniverâ€" sary celebrations. F.W.I.O. Ofl’icers' Conferâ€" ence at Guelph University where assistance was given to Mrs. Harvey Houston. Public Relations Officer: the World Conference of Girl Guides at York University, Toronto, representing A.C.W.W.: semiâ€"annual and anâ€" nual meetings of the Ontario Junior Women‘s Institutes: and the dinner for the 4â€"H Home- makng Club girls. on behalf of F,W.l.0. As directed by the F,W.I.O. Directors. in- vestments and re-investments have been made with the cooperation of the Investment De- partment of the Toronto Dominion Bank. Securities purchased have been placed at the Toronto Dominion Bank. Bloor and Bay Streets. Toronto. The Secretary has assisted a number of Women's Institute members from other coun- tries by arranging visits to Women's Institute meetings at Stoney Creek and other parts of Ontario and to the Erland Lee Homestead. As a member of the Erland Lee Homestead Committee the Secretary has been in close touch with developments since the purchase in June 1972 and has handled finances and cor- respondcnce.
