When l’enuge Rood Women‘s institute celebrnled the 75th Anniversary they invited other branches of the Sud- bury District. From left â€" Mrs. Cridwyn lee, Director F.W.|.O. Concluding the presentation the question was asked, “Where do we go from here?" Someone suggested Women’s Institute Branches on the Moon. Caledon â€"- Roll Call at an AnniverSary cele- bration was answered by each member giving the name of the national song of another coun- try. Simcoe East ~â€" To' celebrate the 75th Anni- versary this District had published a fourypage section in a local newspaper reviewing Wo- men’s Institute history and activities. Excellent pictures of past and present members added interest to this fine project. FAlI. I972 Edgeley â€"â€" Roll Call for the 75th Anniven sary Celebration was “An Early Recollection of a Women’s Institute Personality." One woman recalled that her mother (with twelve childrenl came home to announce that she had accepted the position of secretary becziuse she felt that everyone should accept some responsibility in the community. Annan â€"- The program convener was as- sisted by Branch Life Members at the 75th Anâ€" niversary celebrations. They reViewed activities of the branch during the past years. Maiden â€" The 75th Anniversary Celebration program features a review of the spread of the Women‘s Institutes from the organization of the first branch at Stoney Creek to the present day when there are societies similar to Women’s Institutes in every part of the world. 17
