Director of the Home Economics Branch of the Ontario De- partment of Agriculture thanked the Board Members for the support they give the exten- sion services in home economics. She express- ed her appreciation of the work of the County and District Home Economists. of the Agricul- tural Representatives who cooperate in pro- moting this extension work: of the women who personally lead 4-H Homemaking Clubs and those who organize the senior projects; of the Women‘s Institute Presidents and Secretaries who bring in women front outside the Institute membership to have the benefit of the services of the Department; and to Institute officers and members who see the needs of their commu- nity and try to meet them. The Director comâ€" mented on some excellent convention program features growing out of extension courses such as a fashion show at the London Convention and a Block Printing projcct in one of the northern areas. Miss McKercher spoke of the problem of frequent changes in County Home Economists because of girls leaving the staff to be married; and she thanked the institutes for making the 7
