Resource leader Dean Richiirds from the Uni- versity of Guelph discussed “Our Community" natural resources (soils. forests. climate, wa- ter. fish. mineral. wildlife) relating the imporâ€" tance of these resources and their effects on the pace and form of community development. Dr. Stewart Lune. University of Guelph. spoke on physical resources which include buiidings. transportation. COITImLiniCuliDHS and directed the thinking toward how regions acquire these physical] resources and contribute to growth. Dr. Lane said there are only two ways by which it region cun increase its stock of physiâ€" cal resources (I) by consuming less than it produces and investing what it saves; and (2) by harrowing Capital and investing these funds. Rev. Robt. Kaill and Prof. Ralph Dent of the University both spoke on human resources. Human beings are our most important resource and in designing any policy the needs and de- sires of people must be given first considera- tion.
