Anniversary Projects Great interest has been shown in the Inter- national Scholarship Fund, reported Mrs. Lymburner. Letters have been received from interested persons in Nigeria and British Guiana telling of the need for trained personnel to teach simple skills to the women in newly emerging countries. The Anniversary Year International Scholarship Fund is planned, not to train Home Economists but to assist with the necessary expenses in sending trained Home Economists to areas where help is so badly needed. Working through United Nations it is hoped that it will be possible, by suppleâ€" menting funds for living and travelling. to support the sending of a Home Economist from Ontario. To date $10000. about one fifth of the proposed amount, has been contributed by fill) branches. Many pledges of support have been received from other branches. Reviewing the 65th Anniversary Luncheon, Mrs. Lymburner announced that a rebate of $400. half the rental, had been received from the C.N.E. because of the unheated condition of the building Where the luncheon was held. It was decided later in the sessions, by a unanimous vote. that this sum be donated to the Anniversary Scholarship Fund.
