The District has no responsibility in elect- ing a Board Director and should take no ac- tion at District Annuals other than to con- ï¬rm the eligibility of the candidates; that is, that no vote should be taken at District An- nual to determine which candidate is the most popular one to become Board Director. It is tottering on its foun- dation, the walls are badly shattered and the roof is worn. The building trembles, and I think John Quincey Adams will have to move out before long. But he himself is well." When the above was published in a Church calen- dar. a lady in the congregation read it and wrote the following to the minister: "The house I live in is 82 years old. Considerin its age it is in good repair, though it does not loo as good as it used to 50 years ago. I have neglected to keep it painted, as so many women of this gener- ation do. To tell the truth I have been spending my time in interior decorating. The windows I look out of are fairly clean, and I am glad to tell you I have a reliable tenant in the upper storey.†(This was sent to the editor by Miss Edith Collins.
