Mrs. Haggerty stated that through the efâ€" forts of the Women‘s Institutes other orgam izations have heard of the project and are making layettes. A woman in Northern Onv tario reading about the project wrote for information saying they had no Women's In- stitute but a group of women would like to do something for the project. Information was sent and later word was received that layettes and sweaters had been made and sent. To date there have been reported 341 layettes and 234 sweaters, many bales of used Clothing and untold extra items. Interim Report F.W.I.O. Hand Book Committee Mrs. R. J. Penney, Regional Director F,W.- 1.0. and Secretary of the Hand Book Com- mittee advised that two meetings of the Hand Book Committee had been held, and real proâ€" gress had been made. Constitutions have been completed with the exception of the Junior Institutes and the Provincial Board. All sug- geStions and recommendations received have been given careful consideration. Two recommendations from the committee were considered by the Board of Directors and passed, and are as follows: 1. The recommendation of the Hand Book Committee that the F.W.I.O. fee be increaser from 15 cents per member to 30 cent: per member, payable February lst, 1959.
