Cory, Perth and Robert P. Allen, Huron. Marie Echer started in Homemaking Club work when she was not quite twelve years old and continued until she had completed Every one of the sixteen Homemaking Club units. In her last two garden clubs she was leader as Well as member. Marie teaches in a rural school which she prefers to a city ‘school. In her home community she has .been active in the Junior Farmers‘ Association. especially in educational projects; at present she is county secretary, She has served on fair boards and has been a successful exhibiâ€" tOI‘: last year she judged the junior section at one of the county fairs. In her church Marie .15 church organist, Sunday School pianist, teacher of the junior girls, an active member 0f the Young People’s Guild and the Mission Circle and has been senior leader at a church Camp. Asked about her hobbies. she said: “One Of my main hobbies is embroidery. I enjoy “Wing. reading. bowling and dancing." SUMMER 1954 Barbara Jean Redner is a farm girl em, ployed as teller in a bank in a nearby city. In high school she took the Vocational and Home Economics course; then added to this a course in Typing and Bookkeeping and a short course in Public Speaking. Barbara has completed fifteen Homemaking Club units. She has been president of the local Junior Institute and of the County Junior Farmers. At camps and conferences she has assisted with recreation and taught china painting. She attends the local Farm Forum and. whenever possible, the Women's Instituteâ€" she is convener of Junior Activities for her convention area. In church work Barbara is president of both local and county Young People's societies, teaches a Sunday School class and is assistant pianist for both Church and Sunday School. She has operated farm machinery and helps on the home farm when time permits She is fond of sports and her special hobbies are china painting, photogâ€" raphy‘ sewing and cooking. Charles W, Cory, his county Agricultural Representative reports, “accepted a large re sponsibility in the management of his home farm when his father found it necessary to be 29
