During the year she received 4,751 letters and 23 parcels and sent out a total of 4,104 pieces of Institute mail. She also sent out 200 parcels containing 8.070 admission cards for Canada Day, issued 317 Branch Life Membership cer- tificates, 5 District Life Membership Certifiâ€" cates and had the “District†bar attached to 9 Life Membership Badges. During the year she received 1,652 individual amounts of money and made bank deposits of this money which totalled $50,624.95. The Disbursements were $48,310.14. Scholarship Report The Dorothy Futcher Ontario Women‘s Inâ€" stitute award in 1953 was given to Doreen Carson, Desboro in West Grey District. A second Provincial Women’s Institute Scholar- ship, to be known as the “Ontario Women’s Institute Scholarship†will be set up and awarded in 1954. Three new County Scholar- ships have been set upâ€"â€"the “York County Anna P. Lewis Ontario Women's Institute Scholarshipâ€: the “Grey County Flora M. Durnin, Ontario Women's Institute Scholar- shipâ€; and the “Oxford County Women's In- stitute Scholarship.†The Elgin County Cen- tennial Women’s Institute award in 1953 was given to Donna Rae Prong of RR. 1, Aylmer.
