STAFF CONFERENCE HELD AT O.A.C., GUELPH IN NOVEMBER, 1935 The instructors connected with the ' omen's Institute senior and junior romammes and the One-Month and ree-Months’ Short Courses in Home conomics met at Macdanald Insti- ~ te, Guelph, on November 13, 14, 15 nd 16. Miss Cruikshank and the tafI' of Mucdonald Institute coâ€"opcr tell by bringing reports of recent reA earch in nutrition and clothing. Group discussions were held Dn ouse furnishing, home management, ealth education and home crafts, as ell as on nutrition and foods, and lnthing. The problems of practicing omemakers were kept uppermost brougllout the conference and every ndeavour was made to develop v ethods and curricula to meet their eeds in a practical way. Mrs. Watt, a former member of the Brit- ish Columbia Women's Institutes, organized Women’s Institutes in England at the time of the Great War, for which service she was decorated by the King. She and n large contingent of European women are coming to America for the deï¬nite purpose of attending the con- fcrence. Canada will be ofï¬cially rep- resented by ï¬ve delclmtes rarryinl: voting power.
