She joined in 1944 and became involved immediately in the war effort. She is skilled at crafts and has crocheted many doilies. She is also well known for her baking and always had a variety of delicious squares ready to entertain visitors. Jennie was in her own home until two years ago and was a charming and gracious hostess. Even when she moved into Napanee from her farm, she maintained lovely flower gardens and tomato plants. While Jennie did not hold any offices in the Branch, she was a very capable Branch Director and Social Convenor and, until two years ago, attended evew meeting. Jennie is 99 years young. Jennie was thrilled when she was presented with her 70â€"year pin and bouquet of flowers. She reminisced about her experiences in WI, especially the bus trips she enjoyed so much.
