Chapman WI After singing the Institute Carol at their February Branch Meeting, the Members of Chapman WI (Hastings District, Trent Valley Area) included time at 3:00pm for tea and cake in honour of Wl’s 115th Anniversary. Navan WI On February 19th, Verna Cotton, Navan WI Tweedsmuir Curator, invited past and present WI Members to her home for an afternoon Tea to celebrate Wl’s 115th Anniversaw. A delightful time was spent enjoying salmon mousse, cake and tea, served by Verna‘s nieces, Betty Nielands and Jessie Wall. Verna now has the updated version ofthe Tweedsmuir Histories, put together by Bonnie Sastri. It has a wealth of stories about Navan and its residents. Thunder Bay District Members of Thunder Bay ‘ ' District (Northwestern Area) held a "Come and Go” Tea Party on February 19th to mark 115 years of Women’s Institute. Invitations were extended to other Branches and to the general public. Even with a wicked snowstorm, 30 people attended! North Grey WI On Februaw 19th, seven Members of North Grey WI (Grey North District, Greyâ€"Bruce Area) namely, Ada Haasnoot, Carol Davenport, Penny Fenwick, I Anne Woods, Cathy Snider, Doreen Weaver and Myrna Casemore gathered at the Harrison Park Inn in Owen Sound for tea, coffee and refreshments. Photographs were taken of the Members wearing their hats. Penny Fenwick brought old WI photos for viewing, which originated from Penny‘s aunt, Audrey Spence of the Annan WI. Interesting, informative conversation and delicious desserts were enjoyed.
