Stormont-Dundas District The Members of Stormontâ€"Dundas District (Eastern Area) decided to turn a very special occasion into a ROSE Session. When planning for Finch WI’s 100th anniversary celebration last November, the District decided to partner with Community Support Services at the North Stormont Senior Support Centre, where the event was held. Eightyâ€"four guests also learned about Finch WI’s involvement in the community over the past 100 years! Southline Brant WI Southline Brant WI (Greyâ€"Bruce Area) recently held a ROSE Session entitled "Vision Health, Vision Hope.” The Branch partnered with Dr. J. Richard Samuell, an Optometrist, who explained how your vision works, how to maintain healthy vision and what to do when your vision is changing. They also partnered with Sheryl Irons, RN. and Low Vision Specialist with CNIB. She explained how CNIB can help you maintain your independence and enjoy a good quality of life while living with vision loss. Both speakers were ven/ informative and answered many questions from an audience of approximately 80 individuals. Prince Edward District Prince Edward District Women‘s Institute (Trent Valley Area) recently held a ROSE Session to learn about "Women‘s Safety": domestic, random and travel. Many interesting questions were asked and answered. This ROSE Session was held in co-operation with the local OPP, and Community Policing Officer, Nicole Lott, led the information session for nearly 50 attendees, both community and WI Members.
