Erland Lee Award of Appreciation The Erland Lee Award of Appreciation is presented by the Federated Women’s Institutes of Canada (FWIC) to a man who most exempliï¬es those qualities of Erland Lee which led to the founding of the Women’s Institute, an organization which spread across Canada and grew to include millions of women worldwide. We would like to congratulate Mr. Hollie Archer, Ontario’s recipient for 2013. Mr. Archer is married to WI Life Member, Marlene Archer, and overthe years has made countless contributions to Women’s Institute and the Erland Lee (Museum) Home. The reopening celebration of the Lee on April 21, 2013, provided a special opportunity to thank Mr. Archerfor his ongoing kindness, generosity and support to Women’s Institute and the Museum. Nominated by the Hamilton Area WI, Mr. Archer was presented with this prestigious award by FWIO President Evelyn Peck in front of approximately 200 guests in Stoney Creek.
