The Museum features period rooms and artifacts that relate to the history of Rainy River District. It is completely volunteerâ€"based, relying on donations, grants, and fundraising to keep its doors open. As a fundraiser, the Museum recently published the book, We Were Not Worried atDinner Time, which focuses on the fires that ravaged Dance Township as well as many other areas. Lifelong contributors to the Museum were given copies of the book in appreciation oftheir hard work. Longâ€"time WI Member,Tina Visser, is shown receiving a book in recognition of the time, money and possessions she and her family have donated to the Museum over the last 30 years. Morson WI The Members of Morson WI (Northwestern Area) paperâ€"pieced this Morning Glory Star pattern for the Pioneer Museum quilt raffle in Emo, Ontario. The raffle is one of several annual fundraisers to help offset operating costs ofthe museum.
